Resident Spotlight

She and Tom have been married for 41 years and joined the Britton Falls community almost 3 years ago.  They are originally from Parrysburg, OH (Toledo area).    Their daughter and family live in the Castleton area and when their son-in-law, who is in real estate, heard about Britton Falls, he told Judy it was a “must see” community.   They saw the community and loved it.   Everything worked out as Tom lost his job in OH and found one here to bridge his time to retirement so they could move here.  They now  enjoy being around their youngest grandchildren frequently as well as their new friends in the community.   

Judy is very active in the community and is a regular participant in bocce, pickleball, euchre, women’s golf, garden club, Zumba  and Discovery Indy.  Judy is also a member of the Special Events committee and was Chairperson for the Cruisin Into Summer event in June.  She is also partial to the outdoor pool and had fun gathering neighbors for evening fun at the pool this summer.  Judy also loves the gym and says she has no reason to not exercise!    She and Tom also enjoy bike riding with neighbors and have a group called “bikers”.

Judy said “we are convinced life is a lot more fun at Britton Falls than our old neighborhood in Ohio”!

Judy’s favorite thing about Britton Falls is all the fun activities (thanks Kim!) and the nice people.  She loves the fact that this community is great for both single and married couples.

A fun fact about Judy - she has always loved music, particularly Rock & Roll, when she was growing up.  She is the proud owner of an autograph from Buddy Holly and her idol, Jimmy Clanton.   She and several friends went to see Jimmy perform a few years ago and she said he still had a wonderful head of hair and sing just like the old days.  She chuckled as she told the story about the 65-year-old groupies who chased him down for a new autograph!
